Digital cognitive therapy for Alzheimer’s treatment

Healthcare Digital Engineering

Overview

Cognitive rehabilitation is a type of therapy that helps manage everyday activities easier for people with early-stage dementia. It can assist patients in maintaining their independence. Cognitive rehabilitation therapy is tailored to each person and is done with the help of this interactive software. Nursing assistance and caretakers use the software for enhanced patient care and therapy. The AI-based software uses videos, photos, and voice inputs that are filtered and cataloged for each patient’s treatment.

The customer wanted to implement a system based on their new IP developed for enhanced cognitive therapy. It would be a high-performance system capable of handling a large number of digital assets and manipulating them in real-time. It would also have an application that responds to the user interaction at 60 fps without lag or drag. The design would take care of data security, audit-log practices, and the development process to meet regulatory compliance.

Trenser served as the Technology Partner for developing the end-to-end solution. DevOps was used for continuous integration and deployment under the Agile Scrum development model.

Project Outcome

  • A post-deployment study indicated a 58% increase in patient engagement and early recovery.
  • Improved treatment planning, effectiveness and eased personalized treatment management.
